The poet Ben Okri writes, “The most authentic thing about us is our capacity to create, to overcome, to endure, to transform, to love, and to be greater than our suffering.” However, sometimes it can feel like you’ve lost your way. Therefore, having a guide can make a difference.
My therapeutic mission is to provide a safe space where we can explore the emotions and experiences that characterize your struggles, masteries, and everything in between. In the service of creating greater freedom in your life, together we’ll discover the factors contributing to difficulties and those strengths that may be waiting to be acknowledged.
I specialize in working with adults, particularly those who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, social phobias, panic attacks, trauma, abuse, procrastination, habits, compulsions, eating disorders, relationship/boundary problems, and trouble managing day-to-day tasks under stress; as well as with families and couples; and mothers and their babies, together in the therapy room.
I have wide experience of training at Columbia University, including mother-infant communication, parental mental health, and neuroscience. I’m also a certified Marriage and Family Therapist. My therapeutic approach is based on TEAM-CBT, developed by Dr. David Burns at Stanford University, and incorporates my extensive background in multiple schools of psychotherapy.
