Hello and welcome! My goal as a therapist is to create a non-judgmental and safe space that allows for self-exploration. Our therapeutic relationship can enable you to feel accepted, understood and encouraged, with the freedom to share your most authentic self. I’ve helped clients across the lifespan in the treatment of mood related issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety, depression and relationships.
My young clients, who include children and teens, have many social and academic pressures to confront during their development. Learning better coping mechanisms and positive strategies early on sets the stage for a healthier developmental trajectory and more positive relationships in the years to come. I work with this same mindset in treating my adult clients, fostering an environment that is warm and accepting, which allows for a slowing down and processing of thoughts and emotions.
While there’s no single approach that’s right for everyone, my collaborative style of therapy is aimed at teaching my clients practical skills and problem-solving strategies. I cultivate a compassionate space that incorporates mindfulness, cognitive, behavioral and motivational methods within an evidence-based approach called Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). It is my passion to facilitate the development of hope and self-esteem in children and adults alike. With patience and warmth, I will be there alongside my clients as we practice various strategies to help them back on track to feeling good.
