MSW, LCSW

Welcome! My goal as a therapist is to provide a mixture of optimism, honesty, humor, and direct practicality. I have a genuine interest in each person who seeks mental health support and I think of the therapeutic relationship as a unique collaborative partnership. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and received training working with children, adolescents, and adults with trauma histories. I specialize in helping individuals who struggle with anxiety and depression and those who encounter difficulties within relationships overcome the daily intrusion of negative thoughts and behaviors by providing solution-focused treatment and support. My interests are in trauma, mood disorders, LGBTQ+ identity and supports, relationships, and parenting.

My therapeutic approach is eclectic, drawing from cognitive, dialectical, and motivational methodologies with influences of mindfulness. My objective is to help clients identify what is not working and make steps toward managing stressors, where applicable, or eliminating them completely. If you struggle with anxiety or depression, are feeling stuck, are transitioning into your new identity as a parent, or find it challenging to communicate your needs within important relationships in your life, I can help and offer compassion and strength when you need it most.

I am intesively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT/TEAM-CBT). I earned my Master of Social Work degree from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Women’s Studies from Skidmore College.
