Dealing with difficult feelings, thoughts, and situations can be challenging and isolating. I find so much value in helping you to increase your self-compassion and to find ways to cultivate joy in your life. I enjoy helping people struggling with depression and anxiety, as well as those dealing with grief, relationship and family issues. I also really enjoy working with people who struggle with body image and are looking to develop a better relationship with food, and a better relationship with the self in general. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I can imagine the fear, anxiety, excitement, and confusion that comes with navigating sexuality and I consider it an honor to work with individuals in this community.

I find so much healing in Mindfulness-based interventions, as well as Somatic approaches, which can serve to calm the stress response in the body. Additionally, I utilize an advanced evidence-based approach to cognitive behavioral therapy. My holistic approach also includes building on your strengths to empower you, and helping you understand your mind-body connection. I also help you to look at all of the components that influence your mental health and how things like human connection, sleep, self-esteem, movement/play, and safety, all dramatically impact your mental wellbeing. I find value in teaching you how to intuitively listen to your body’s needs. I do a lot of work with my clients that specifically helps them move away from any shame or guilt they are feeling, and understand that scary and uncomfortable feelings, thoughts, or behaviors are very, very normal.

I am constantly learning from my clients who are the expert of their own lives. My pronouns are she/her/hers, and I utilize an anti-oppressive framework. I work hard to ensure I am cultivating a safe, deeply empathetic space for my clients, where there is no judgement, and where I can help give you tools to embody your best self. Helping my clients learn about their body and mind, unearthing the beauty inside of themselves, and finding healing is one of my passions, and I can’t wait to share that with you!

I graduated with my Masters in Social Work from Daemen College in Buffalo, NY, and am licensed in New York State.”
